Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actor from Sweden. The actress was featured in various films as well as European and American. The most well-known role she played was in the dramatic comedy film "La Dolce Vita". It was a huge critical and commercial success, as as winning an Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. Born in Skane, Sweden, she had a job as a fashion model before beginning her acting career. She took home her first Miss Sweden competition. She moved to the US and started to be seen in films playing small characters. The role she played was Venusian Guard in the movie 'Abbott and Costello's Trip to Mars.' This was her first film credit. Her role was soon recognized with the Golden Globe award in the 'Most Promising Newcomer', category after appearing in the film 'Bloodalley'. Her films included numerous productions that included the war drama film War and Peace, the Western "Valerie," the British crime thriller The Man Inside and the The French/Italian Drama The Dam on the Yellow River.'
